以下用積分的概念來驗證:

由(2式)與"EF直線方程式"可解得:
xF = F點之x座標 = (1-√7)/4
xE = E點之x座標 = (1+√7)/4
大圓方程式: Y1 = 1 - √( 4 - (x+1)^2 ) = 1 - √(-x^2-2x+3)
小圓下半部方程式: Y2 = -√(1-x^2) , 當x < xE
小圓上半部方程式: Y3 = √(1-x^2) , 當x > xE
月亮面積
= ∫ (Y1-Y2) dx , from xF to xE
+ ∫ 2*Y3 dx , from xE to 1
